Eastside Dolphins - 

2025 Tackle Football (8U, 10U & 12U) registration opens Tuesday, 4/29/2025.

Football

Participants will be placed in a division based on their age on August 31, 2025 (no exceptions). The Football Fee includes registration, game uniform (jersey and helmet decal) and practice jersey with the player's jersey number and name across the back.

Individuals are responsible for providing a white helmet, mouth guard, shoulder pads, black football pants, cleats. In general, equipment is a safety investment and will be used for several seasons. We highly recommend purchasing equipment early to avoid the last minute rush when stock is limited. You can check second hand equipment via Facebook Marketplace or Play it Again Sports. We will also aim to hold an equipment swap & sell, but supplies are very limited. 

Every year an updated physical form is required for each player - 2025 Physical Form

Greenville County Rec issues a 2025 Youth Football Ops Manual that may be helpful to read prior to purchasing equipment (and definitely before start of the season). This manual also includes rules and regulations including weigh-in protocol, playing rules, and operational policies. 

Cheerleading

Coaching

If you are interested in coaching, please sign up through the registration form and EDYA will contact you directly if selected. All coaches must submit and pass a background check (https://bib.com/secure-volunteer/Greenville-County-Parks-Recreation-and-Tourism/home) in order to coach. All coaches must also have a current USA Football Youth Certification for Non-Contact & Contact Coaches (https://footballdevelopment.com/youth-certifications/). Please reach out to Britney Sillman for a pre-paid code before completing certification. There are also a few easy forms to complete as well, which can be completed closer to the beginning of the season. 

General

Tackle football conditioning will begin in July. Mandatory weigh-ins will be scheduled. Game schedule will be posted by Greenville County Rec. We will post more details on the timeline / schedule once Greenville County Rec provides additional guidance. Please see our "About" page for typical timeframes.

Financial Aid Options

We recognize that the past few years have been trying for many families, so we have explored all means possible for securing scholarship money for this season and supporting as many families as possible.

One option is applying here: Every Kid Sports to help with registration fees. Based on the eligibility requirements, your child may meet the qualifications to receive grant funding to assist in paying for registration fees. Through this program, families are required to pay at least $20 of the registration fee. Funding is usually received within 5-7 days of submitting a complete application. Upon approval, you will receive an email from Chek Spend to set up your account and access your new electronic payment card to allow for online payment of your child's registration. 
To help us assist as many families as possible with registration, we ask that families in need of financial aid complete the brief application to see if grant money could be obtained to cover registration costs. 

Below is a summary of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) from the Every Kid Sports Pass website:

• An application must be submitted for every child you wish to be considered for an Every Kid Sports Pass.
• Available to kids 4-18 years old, participating in recreational after-school sports.
• Youths, parents, or guardians apply online for the Every Kid Sports Pass.
• Parent/Guardian must submit proof of their child’s current and active enrollment in one of the approved Financial Needs Verification* programs:
• Medicaid enrollment document – with child’s name and dates
• SNAP enrollment document – with child’s name and dates
• WIC enrollment document – with child’s name and dates
• Certificate of Eligibility (COE) for Migrant Education Programs – with child’s name and dates
• Active enrollment dates in SNAP, WIC, or Medicaid cannot exceed 12 months from the time of your submitted application.
• NEW: Free and Reduced Lunch benefits will no longer be accepted.
• NEW: Upon approval, an electronic payment card will be issued virtually to the parent/guardian allowing you to pay your registration fees on-line.
• Applications must be submitted before the end of the season you are requesting funds for.
